About this audiobook
AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!
“Honest, timely, and completely thrilling.” —Reese Witherspoon (Reese’s Book Club x Hello Sunshine book pick)
Sloane, Ardie, Grace, and Rosalita have worked at Truviv, Inc. for years. The sudden death of Truviv’s CEO means their boss, Ames, will likely take over the entire company. Each of the women has a different relationship with Ames, who has always been surrounded by whispers about how he treats women. Those whispers have been ignored, swept under the rug, hidden away by those in charge.
But the world has changed, and the women are watching this promotion differently. This time, when they find out Ames is making an inappropriate move on a colleague, they aren’t willing to let it go. This time, they’ve decided enough is enough.
Sloane and her colleagues’ decision to take a stand sets in motion a catastrophic shift in the office. Lies will be uncovered. Secrets will be exposed. And not everyone will survive. All of their lives—as women, colleagues, mothers, wives, friends, even adversaries—will change dramatically as a result.
"If only you had listened to us,” they tell us on page one of Chandler Baker's Whisper Network, “none of this would have happened."

It had a very slow pace with minimal twists. But I really loved that this book reeks of feminism. Women looking out for each other.1 person found this helpful

It wasn’t the waste of time but I want more from the books I read. Plot was okayish but it never developed and it was rushed in the last ten chapters. Main character (Sloane) is unsympathetic and overly self-centered, and we don’t see enough quality content of the other two (maybe three) women to judge them as individuals. The ending would be so much better if it were left as is without that restaurant scene.
On the top of that, the author liked having bits of her own monologue at the beginning of the most chapters. Those musings (if I can call them such) were annoying - not only was she presuming to speak nonsense as a gospel truth in the name of all women, she was creating a fake moral high ground for her characters to stand on without backing them up with strong characterization in her writing.
“Author’s note” at the end of the book was absolutely unnecessary and it almost made me bump the rating to two stars. However, given that it has nothing to do with the plot of the book itself that wouldn’t have been fair so I left it as is - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

What an amazing book. The topics it touches on affect women of all ages, all over the world. I think this story will have any woman nodding in agreement because we've all experienced some form of harassment, abuse or discrimination, even from an early age. This book should be read in schools! I only wish I had read it when I was a kid.
